A Strong Foundation – 9. The Local Church
Acts 2:42-47
 
We believe the local church is a fellowship of believers who,
in obedience, gather regularly for worship, prayer, instruction,
encouragement, mutual ministry, and accountability, to observe
the two ordinances given to the church by Jesus Christ: Baptism
and the Lord’s Supper.
The local church has been commissioned by Christ,
the Head of the church, for all things, to reach lost people
and disciple them into fully devoted followers of Christ.
The local church is to be led by mature
spiritual overseers or elders,
as directed by the Spirit and the Word of God
under the headship of Christ.
