Matthew 16:13-16

Introduction

“Who is Jesus Christ?”

After 2,000 years people still wonder about the man called Jesus.

 

Matthew 16:13-16

13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi,
He was asking His disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”

14 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah;
but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”

15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ,
the Son of the living God.”

 

Who is Jesus Christ and why do we believe in him?

To answer the great question of history,
“Who is Jesus Christ?”

We turn to the New Testament and look at

Fact #4 – The Empty Tomb

 

Fact #5 – Transformed Lives

 

Closing:

 

Jesus’ second question to his disciples is more
personal and the most important.

“Who do you say I am?”

 

Where do you stand?

How do you answer this question,
“Who is Jesus Christ?”

Your eternal destiny hangs on your answer.
